Job Title:     Operations Officer

Organisation: American Refugee Committee (ARC) International

Duty Station: Uganda

Reports to: Area Coordinator

About ARC:

The American Refugee Committee (ARC) International is an International nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that provides humanitarian assistance and training to millions of beneficiaries around the world. The ARC seeks to promote peaceful and safe communities where men and women have equal rights and communities can access locally owned, high-quality services.

Job Summary: The Operations Officer will be responsible for providing logistical support to program activities in procurement, distribution, material management and contingency operations as well as fuel and vehicle management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) International Operations Officer job opportunity must hold a University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or relevant degree.
  • Possession of a post graduate Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or CIPS is an added advantage.
  • At least four years’ experience working in the field of program and/or Logistics and Operations in an INGO.
  • Extensive knowledge of standard INGO and Donor procurement procedures and practices.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including proven report writing skills.
