Serving over 36,000 clients in 17 districts of the Mid-Western and Central region(s) of Uganda, ENCOT Microfinance Limited (ENCOT) is a social impact, fast growing and innovative MFI operating a network of 10 Branches in Hoima, Masindi, Kigumba, Kagadi, Nakasongola, Kawempe, Luweero, Bweyale, Katikara and Karuguuza. ENCOT’s mission is to provide microfinance services to low-income smallholder farmer communities, most especially women, to allow them curve their own paths out of poverty through creation of own jobs.

 

Job Summary: The Credit Supervisor is responsible for growing and managing performance of the branch / Product Loans Portfolio to achieve company objectives, provide leadership and supervision to Credit Officers and ensure delivery of services to clients in line with the institution’s policies and procedures

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement strategies for business growth in branch.
  • Maintain a quality portfolio for the branch as per set targets.
  • Customer service.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the operations policies and procedures through the lending process.
  • Supervise and mentor Credit Officers.
  • Reporting

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in: Social Work, Education, Business, Finance & Accounting, Banking, Administration and any other related field. A Diploma in the desired fields coupled with reasonable exposure and experience is also acceptable.
  • At least three (3) years of credit experience in a similar field.
  • Able to travel to the field (75%).

  • Highly motivated individual and able to motivate others to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
