Re-known Kenyan-Indian entrepreneur, Kamal Budhabatti, whom Forbes refers to as ‘Kenya’s Bill Gates’ has been chosen as the keynote speaker at the fifth Digital Impact Awards Africa #DIAA2018 slated for September 21, 2018.
The announcement was made today by the Digital Impact Awards Africa( DIAA) advisory board.
The event will be hosted at Kampala Serena Hotel under the theme ‘Include Everyone.
Budhabatti is the founder and CEO of Craft Silicon ltd, a Kenyan software company, who has greatly contributed towards the global recognition and acceptance of African software.
According to Innocent Kawooya, the DIAA Program director who also doubles as the CEO for HiPipo, Kenya’s Bill Gates addresss will “inspire more innovations to deliver cost effective solutions to issues affecting communities.”
“It is an extraordinary honor, and privilege to have Kamal Budhabatti as a keynote speaker. Kamal is one of the greatest digital and finance innovators of this generation.
His work has transformed the lives of millions of Africans. Just like Kamal, Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA) is determined to further champion the Digital Agenda,” Kawooya remarked.
DIAA is a platform that promotes Digital inclusion, Financial inclusion and Cyber security.
