Call for Applications – Makerere University Graduate Programs for 2025/2026 Academic Year
Makerere University has extended the deadline for applications to its postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year to Friday, 30th May 2025, giving prospective students more time to apply for admission.
The Academic Registrar announced the extension and invited eligible candidates to apply for Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programmes. Applicants must have obtained at least a first or second-class degree (or equivalent) from a Chartered University at the time of graduation. In addition, applicants must hold both the Uganda Certificate of Education and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or their equivalents.
All programmes offered under this call are privately sponsored. Applicants who require financial support are advised to ensure that their applications are endorsed by their respective sponsors where applicable.
The university clarified that the tuition fees listed for the programmes do not include functional fees, accommodation, research, books, or other personal expenses.
