CULTURAL FOODS OF DIFFERENT STUDENTS AT IUIU FEMALES CAMPUS

Cultural foods are foods that are prepared by different tribes . AT IUIU females campus there are different tribes, each with their unique cultural foods. Students in these different tribes took great pride and in their traditional foods and unique methods of preparation that had been handed down from generation to generation.

Below are some of different cultural foods and how they are prepared by the students from IUIU females campus .

Buganda cultural food matooke and luwombo. This is how the Buganda prepare their matooke. You get the basket, if not you can use the sauce pan incase u don’t have a basket get two banana fibers and place them in the basket or sauce pan then

After ,place in the banana leave and start peeling your matooke .then after start putting in your peeled matooke in the basket or sauce pan. after that you tie your matooke in the basket using the banana fibers. after that you get a sauce pan and put in water and the colloquialisms and the place in your tied matooke. You place your food on the charcoal stove and wait it to boil for 40mins to get ready .

Luwombo for g.nuts

You get a clean bowl and water then you put in your groundnuts and dilute it in water .then after you put in your ingredients to make it delicious like onions , green peppers and tomatoes even the curry powder .then you get your luwombo and place it in the sauce pan ,after then you pour in your diluted ground nuts in the luwombo which you placed in the sauce pan. after pouring in the ground nuts you tie it with a banana fibers and make sure that it is tight.

Basoga cultural food lumonde and G nuts

You get your sauce and put in water , then start peeling and put the peeled Lumonde in the sauce pan which you poured in water. Then after peeling you wash your peeled Lumonde. Then after you get a sauce pan and put in your peeled Lumonde and cover it .take it on the charcoal stove and leave it to boil for 1hour to get ready .

Cultural food for iteso kalo and G.nuts

First of all your first boil water for 30mins to get ready ,when it’s ready you pour in your kalo and start mingling for 20mins it will be ready to eat .the kalo is the mixture of cassava flour and millet flour

Somali cultural food rice and how it is prepared.

Get a sauce pan put it on fire , leave it to dry then you pour in your cooking oil . after few mins put in your onions and then pour in tomatoes and the other ingredients for rice

Cultural food for Nubians guluusa

This is the mixture of wheat flour ,milk and eggs .and this is how it is prepared. You get your frying pan and place it on fire to get dry then after you pour cooking oil, then leave to get ready then you pour in your mixture of milk ,wheat flour and eggs .after some minutes ,it will be ready and you remove it from frying pan .

As time went by ,the students of IUIU females campus began to share their cultural foods with each other , and the different dishes became popular across the country .The unique flavors and textures of each dish were celebrated by all, and the diversity of ugandas cultural foods became a source of pride for the entire nation.

In the end ,students of Buganda culture realized that their cultural foods were not just a means of sustenance but a way to connect with each other and celebrate their unique identities .
