Job Summary: The Executive Microbiology Analyst will setup apparatus and carry out qualitative and quantitative Microbiological Analysis on both raw materials, finished good food and environmental samples while ensuring compliance with the established Safety and Quality Standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To prepare and sterilize laboratory reagents and culture media for aseptic sample analysis.
- To conduct sample analysis for qualitative and quantitative microbiological and biochemical parameters as per the established standard test methods.
- To train new lab assistants on inhouse standards of operations and developments in laboratory testing techniques / test methods.
- Responsible for equipment calibration, daily verification and maintenance with traceability and compile equipment performance reports for submission to the Laboratory Head.
- To update and maintain Quality Management System documents and records for accreditation of the testing laboratory as per ISO 17025 Standard.
- To ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of lab equipment, reagents, culture media as per the safety and quality standards.
- To implement laboratory safety activities, decontamination and cleaning of the microbiology laboratory and items therein and ensure safe disposal of lab wastes
- To participate in Proficiency Testing and other competence assessment activities of the laboratory.
- Perform Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as per written Standard Operating Procedures of the Testing laboratory.
- To carry out sampling for microbiological analysis as per the quality and safety plan/schedule of the company or as may be required from time to time.
- To participate in BRC documentation and other Quality and safety audits of the company as may be required from time to time.
- Any other official duty as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Science Technology (Biology), Biomedical Laboratory Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry.
- Training in Advanced Analytical Laboratory Techniques, Laboratory Safety and ISO 17025 Laboratory Quality Management System is highly required.
- At least three years of work experience in Analytical Laboratory Operations with excellent knowledge in Analytical Microbiology.
