International friendlies resume with Italy will hosting Ukraine at the Stadio Communale Luigi Ferraris on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s Andriy Yarmolenko will be a key man in the attack as Ukraine looks to putting up a solid performance against the hosts

Italy come into the Wednesday fixture having been beaten 1-0 by Portugal Portugal in September 2018, in a match that saw them register only two shots on target.

The Azzurri have a winless run in the last four matches, with two loses and two draws.They have so far got just one win in five matches under new manager Roberto Mancini.

Former Manchester City striker and currently in Nice Mario Balotelli has been left out of the squad after his performances failed to catch the eye of Mancini.

Ukraine gained success in its last fixture back in September when they beat Slovakia with Andriy Yarmolenko netting a penalty on 80 minutes in the 80th minute.

Ukraine are currently unbeaten in their last seven matches, lifting five wins including victories against Japan, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konoplyanka are expected to start on Wednesday having impressed in their recent matches for Ukraine.

Italy has an upper hand in this victory having failed to lose in seven previous matches against Ukraine.

The last meeting between the two sides saw Italy coming as a winner with 2-0 in a friendly in 20111.

Italy has good attacking options of Ciro Immobile, Lorenzo Insigne and Simone Zaza but they have failed to find the back of the net in the recent matches.

Meanwhile, Ukraine Ukraine’s  force of attack comes from the wide with Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko a threat.
