A Kampala International University student is in jail for stalking Omoro District Woman Member of Parliament Catherine Lamwaka.

James Omara allegedly sent phone text messages to Mp Lwamaka expressing his romantic feelings towards the honourable.

The 23 years old pleaded guilty at the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court last week on one count of offensive communication in the procession that was presided over by Ms Stella Maris Amabilis.

The court will however sit again on April 23 for the sentencing.

Another similar case occured last year when Brian Isiko, 25, a student of YMCA College of Business Studies in Jinja allegedly harassed Kabarole Woman MP Sylvia Rwabwogo.

Although he was tried and pleaded guilty, the magistrate ordered for a retrial and the accused was granted bail to this time.
