Kyambogo university in 20 billion fees scandal

 Two  Accountants arrested.

Julius Tumushabe and Gonzaga Walubi both staff of Kyambogo University were arrested in the ongoing investigation of the missing tuition fees at Kyambogo.

It’s alleged that about 55% of the tuition fees paid by students at the University in 2011/2012 is missing.

Police allege that Tumushabe connived with some bank officials to channel fees deposited on to the university account to personal accounts.

Last week the police also spent hours questioning the Kyambogo University chief internal auditor, Henry Duku, the University bursar and the current acting University Vice Chancellor, John Opuda-Asibo over the alleged embezzlement scandal.
