Detectives from the office of Inspector General of Government (IGG) have today arrested the University secretary of Kyambogo university, Samuel Akorimo.

The university council chairman, John Okedi and his vice Samuel Kiggundu were also arrested today.

All these are members of  Kyambogo University Council, the institution’s top governing body.

Their arrest is part of the ongoing investigations into the alleged embezzlement of over 20 billions that went missing from the university accounts.

Two other accountants were also arrested last week over the same.
