Makerere university staff call off strike

Makerere University staff have agreed to call off the strike that led to the closure of the institution on 17th August.

The staff were demanding for 100 percent salary increment but the university Council has decided to raise their salaries by 70 percent from the internal budget less 30 percent of the full staff’s demands.
