Tottenham made a winning start to the new Premier League season as they beat 10-men Newcastle 2-0 at St James’ Park.

Alli later went on to score in the 61st minute when he latched onto Christian Eriksen’s diagonal pass into the box.

Moments later, Spurs sealed the win when Ben Davis finished from close range in the 70th minute.
