The Banana Industrial Research and Development Centre (BIRDC) exists to provide a state-of-the-Art banana processing enterprise in Uganda. BIRDC is the successor entity of the Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) Project.

Job Summary:  Banana Industrial Research Development Centre (BIRDC) is seeking for a highly motivated and result-driven Sales Agent, you will be responsible for generating new leads and converting them into sales. You will be working with a wide range of customers, from small business owners to large corporations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress to management
