JOB DETAILS:
The Mission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture”.
The Government of Uganda has received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the Agriculture Value Chain Development Project (AVCP1). The main goal of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda through enhanced productivity and commercialization of agriculture.
These positions are to be filled on a two-year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and needs of the Employer.
4. Job Title: SENIOR ENGINEER
Salary Scale: Attractive
Job Purpose:
To coordinate and supervise water infrastructure developments, post-harvest facilities, development and implementation of watershed management plans in the areas of operation of the project .
• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural or Civil Engineering from a reputable university
• Master’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering or Irrigation Engineering from a reputable University.
• Have a minimum of four (4) year’s technical proficiency and experience in water engineering and watershed management.
• Registration with ERB or UIPE is an added Advantage
