Ugandan artist Abdul Mulaasi not dead, he is alive and kicking

Social media platforms have this morning been awash with news that Kadongo Kamu singer Abdu Mulaasi popularly known for his song ‘Ngenda Kusiba Farm’ is dead.
Taking to his Facebook platform, Rasta-Smart (Abdu Mulaasi) was quick to point out that the images circulating on social media were taken during a video shoot which involved a death stunt.
He said, in his new video ‘Mumpe nga ndimilamu,’ required him to act as a dead person and was being shot in the presence of very many people. He believes it’s these individuals, present at the video shooting, who took the pictures and circulated them online.
The singer claims to have gone to a show after the video shooting and returned only to receive news and calls inquiring about his death.
He wrote, “Banange omuntu yena ambika ekyo akola kikyamu kubanga nze nkyali mulamu tteke oba mutidde kumpa Ttofali mukyogere wama abe mikwano Ttofali video is loading.”
This can loosely be translated that whoever is circulating news that am dead is wrongfully doing so because I am alive and kicking, if you are afraid of giving me ‘ttofali’ (money), speak out. He further assured his fans that the ‘TTfolai video is coming out soon.
‘Ttofali’ is one of his new songs.

Golola Moses knocks out Wathaporn Kamunstorn in style
Uganda’s outspoken and celebrated kick boxer Moses Golola lived up to trademark hype when he knocked out Thailand national, Wathaporn Kamunstorn in 50 seconds at the Kati Kati gardens in Kampala to win the World Kickboxing Federation (K1) middleweight title.

The kicking boxing fight had been highly anticipated and the turn up was good to cheer up Golola ‘of Uganda’ in action.
Golola did not disappoint when he hit Wathaporn with his left punch to knock the Thailand fighter out. Wathaporn did not put up a show we had hoped for only managing a straight kick before he was knocked out.
Golola lived up to the promise he had made to his fans of destroying Watharporn very fast like what he had done to Titus Tugume, whom he knocked out in one minute.
Golola said he ‘wasn’t paid for overtime’.
Wathaporn was hit and he fell down unconscious on the canvas for about to 10 minutes before the first aid team came to his rescue.
He was later taken to Lisa Medical Hospital, Mengo, in an ambulance for examination.
Golola who was jubilating about the win saying “I thank God for this victory,”
He continued “Like David vs. Goliath, the person with the best weapon always wins.
I did not go to Mabira for anything.
”
The win took Golola’s record to 26 fights, 20wins (15knock outs) and 6 losses.
Some of the fans left Kati Kati in displeasure hoping Golola’s victory was match fixed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Adhere to the service standards and provide excellent customer service
- Handle all cash and cheque deposits from customers and ATMs in line with set procedures
- Pay out cash to customers by cheque or voucher withdrawal in line with set procedures
- Process all Foreign exchange transactions for both walk in and existing customers and report all transactions above set amount to the Team Leader Tellers
- Carry out biller payments and cash transfers as per set procedures
- Perform change transactions
- Provide account balances to customers as requested as per laid down procedures
- Manage queues by providing quick, accurate and efficient service
- Provide excellent customer service by adhering to the Service Standards
- Guide customers of any new price changes
- Capture accurate narratives for all transactions processed
- Sales:
- Generate and provide leads to sales staff
- Cross sell bank products
- Identify customers for migration to other service channels
- Risk and Control:
- Refer all cash transactions above Teller limit to the Team Leader Tellers for verification and/or approval
- Carry out at least two till balances for all currencies on a daily basis
- Keep own cash holdings within prescribed limits
- Adhere to all laid down policies and procedures regarding security of Bank assets i.e. user password security, security cards, keys, own till, stamps, vouchers, and all other Teller working tools
- Print and handover Teller reports and vouchers for calling to the Team Leader at the end of day
- File all Teller reports on daily basis
- Perform all Inter-Teller cash transfers as per laid down procedures
- Quickly report all suspicious transactions in accordance with laid down procedure
- Attend to audit and risk findings
- Other:
- Perform ATM custodianship as may be assigned from time to time
- Hold front door keys as assigned from time to time
- Perform any other duties by the Line manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the Stanbic Teller Jobs should hold Bachelor’s degrees from recognized university
- Previous experience with cash handling is desirable
- Previous front office experience desirable
- Working knowledge of cash handling policies and procedures
- Sound knowledge of legal aspects regarding cheque, bills and cash handling
