The Academic Registrar, Makerere University is inviting persons with disability who applied for admission to public universities under the disability scheme, to appear for medical/ review exercise at Makerere University.
The exercise will be conducted on 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th June 2015 respectively from 9:00AM to 1:00 PM each day.
The venue is Conference Hall, Level 2, Senate Building.

Alfred Masikye Namoah says that only those who have the minimum entry requirements of at least two principal passes at A’ Level and at least Five (5) Passes at O’Level will be interviewed.
YMCA Comprehensive Institute Kampala has started offering degree courses alongside the diploma and certificate courses.
According to the academic Registrar, the degree courses have been approved by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and will kick off in August 2015.
The degree courses include:
1. Bachelors of Information Technology – BIT
2. Bachelors of Hotel & Institutional Catering BHIC
3. Bachelors of Business Administration – BBA
4. Bachelors of Secretarial and Administrative studies – BSAS
The new courses will also be offered at Buwambo campus in Gayaza which is an extension to YMCA Kampala Main branch.
“Buwambo campus is intended to provide more space to accommodate the growing students population in the different courses offered”, says the Academic Registrar.

Makerere University Business School is going to award 52 inmates from Luzira Prison with Diplomas and Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Small Business management.
These inmates are part of the 1,186 graduates to be passed out at the 10 graduation ceremony of MUBS on Friday 29th May 2015.
This is the 5th time Makerere University Business School is presenting inmates for the awards.
MUBS started the Luzira University Education programme in 2011 as a Social corporate Responsibility which has encouraged inmates in primary and secondary levels to work harder to reach these higher echelons of education.
“Majority of the Luzira inmates who have graduated on this programme have transformed from being society rejects to becoming useful citizens in the country”, MUBS Principal, Prof. Wasswa Balunywa says.
The 10th Graduation function will be presided over by Makerere University Chancellor, Prof.
Ndejje university students heading to the main campus from their hostels.
Ndejje University is one of the private charted universities in Uganda offering different courses at both Undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The university fees/Tuition charged ranges between 1.800,000 to 2,500,000/= per semester.
This includes hostel charges that stand at 650,000/= per student per semester.
According to the university policy, its a must for all undergraduate students to reside in the university hostels that are located a few metres away from the lecture rooms.
The hostel fees also include meals that are served in four intervals; Breakfast, lunch, evening tea and supper.
Courses are offered on Day, Evening, Weekend, In-service and on Long Distance Learning at both the Main campus in Luweero district and their other branch located in Kampala.
