In Uganda, Water Mission operates as Waiter Missions Uganda MMU) with offices based in linja. Post: Program Specialist
Under the direction of the Country Director. the Program Specialist. is responsible For overseeing the various functions within the operation of Water Mission Uganda, including administration, program related functions, and supporting the various teams as described below..
Responsibilities
• Understand client requirements and recommend new programs or enhancements.
• Work with cross-functional reams in planning and execution of programs.
• Schedule program related training for new hires.
• Assist in soliciting for new opportunities from key partners e.g. USAID, UN agencies, embassies etc.
• Lead the mmmunlcatinn team tn ensure all reports, dairies. branding, visibility is well documented to key stakeholder
• Assist in proposal development.
• Assist in planning for visitors, conferences for both in country and HQ including travel and accommodalton.
• Provinia support in developing program plan. budget and schedule.
• Perform program planning, analysis and reporting for management.
• Keep management informed about any financial, schedule and administrative issues.
• Manage resourre allocations and workload assignments.
• Coordinate with program management to perform contract madification, work order changes and schedule changes.
• Perform connect negotiations with clients as needed.
• Manage office supplies stock and place orders
• Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budget
• Maintain and update company databases
• Organize a filing system for important and confidential wmnanv documents
• Answer queries by employees and clients
• Update oifice polities as needed
• Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
• Book meeting rooms as required
• Distribute and store correspondence (eg letters, emails and packages)
• Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned.
• Ensure that the PUMP (Programs Update e Management Platform] is update all the time.
• Minimum Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Mass Communication. or Program Management. A Masters‘ degree has an added advantage.
• 5+ years experience in a managerial position.
• Experience working in a similar environment will be and added advantage.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
Other Requirement
• An understanding of and commitment to the Mission of the organization.
• A clear, God given calling to the Mission
• Ability to organize personal workload and achieve results in time.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours Including nights and weekends when necessary
