Akiim Ojok Ali was voted the first Guild President of Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU). Ali won with 83% of the total votes while Simplisio Ariho, got 15%.

Ojok, is a 2nd year student of Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology. He says he has held various leadership positions in both primary school and secondary school.

The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Kenneth Twesigye announced the results at approximately 6:45 pm on Wednesday.

“On behalf of the Electoral Commission, I congratulate Ojok upon his victory!
