Job Title: Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician
 
The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on the 15th  August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is not a government Department.  Bank of Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
Job Summary: The Refrigeration & Air Conditioning should offer skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (AC) equipment and systems at various stations of the Bank.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Performs out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment  and systems.
  • Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.
  • Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
  • Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
  • Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares purchased/supplied.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures
  • Efficient and effective Refrigeration and Air Conditioning system
  • Properly installed Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
  • Well functioning Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
  • Timely repairs of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
  • Submission of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning monthly reports
  • Well maintained safety standards in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The aspiring candidates should possess Ordinary Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
  • Five or more years’ experience in Heavy Central Air Conditioning Plant.
  • Possession of a Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
  • The applicant should be mature, energetic and quick-witted
  • Possess the ability to work independently and for long hours.
  • Computer skills in MS word and excel.
Age: 30-35 years
