Job Title: Senior Manager Human – Resources & Administration

Job Summary: The Tropical Bank Senior Manager Human Resources & Administration will steer the department of HR & Administration and be responsible for initiating and developing a strategic Human Resources programme and offer administrative support in order to meet the corporate goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the Human Resource Management strategies, policies and procedures in > accordance with the organization’s strategic business plan.
  • Ensure there is proper implementation of all approved Human Resource management policies, procedures and programmes and advise line managers in accordance with the human resources manual.
  • Plan and conduct training and development programmes to meet identified needs and promote change management in accordance with the organization’s mission.
  • In charge of the design and Maintain a staff Performance Management System.
  • Compile, prepare and implement the departmental budget in accordance with the finance guidelines.
  • Submit timely departmental reports in accordance with the specific requirements of the organization.
  • Coordinate security of all Bank premises and properties and ensure provision of fire equipment.
  • Responsible for the Insurance of Bank premises, equipment and any property of the Bank with reputable insurance companies.
  • Maintenance of all Bank premises, equipment and creation of healthy working environment.
  • Oversee and control Bank vehicles including their maintenance.
  • Manage the day to day maintenance of the Bank’s Property, fleet and Assets.
  • Supervise and monitor the issuance of stationery for the Bank.
  • Ensure provision of excellent and efficient administrative support to all Departments.
  • Conduct inventory, update and maintain records of the Bank’s Assets.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Executive.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s Degree, from an accredited University, in Human Resource Management or Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management with a demonstrated experience of at least 5 years’ in a similar job in a busy financial and/or private sector environment Or Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited university, in Human Resource Management or Public Administration & Management plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management & Administration with a demonstrated experience of at least 7 years’ in a similar job in a busy financial or private sector environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement procedures as well as protocol services will be an added advantage.
  • Membership of the Human Resource Management Association of Uganda will be an added advantage
  • Possess the ability to work under minimum supervision
