Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has introduced a new Masters course in Psychiatry.

According to the Head of Department-Psychiatry, Dr Godfrey Zari Rukundo, the course is primarily targeted towards medical doctors with at least one year of clinical practice also known as internship after graduation.

Applicants to be considered must have graduated from an accredited/recognised medical school and must be registered and licensed by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practictioners’ Council.

Interested doctors will have to show diligence and interest in working with people having mental health problems and should be able to work in a team.

Those applicants interested in the Masters course in Psychiatry can pick application forms from the Academic Registrar’s Office at the university
