Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, has suspended another student and issued out warning letters to other two students for inciting violence that would disrupt the university operations.

The suspended has been identified as James Chombo, a Bachelor of Commerce student who is accused of  setting fires and blocking of free-flow of traffic along University roads, drunkenness and use of foul language on Friday 17th August 2018.

Although he is a non-resident, Chombo allegedly forced students out of the hall in the night of Friday 17th August 2018 and compelled them to join him in a demonstration in the university vicinity until around 2 am on Saturday morning.

Other students have been given a final WARNING by Prof. Nawangwe. The warned are Hamidu Sebyala a student of Bachelor of Agribusiness management and Kamukama Godfrey Frank a government-sponsored student of Bachelor of Medicine and surgery.
