Crystal Newman has finally quit Sanyu FM after 18 years.

Sanyu FM popular presenter Crystal Newman has quit Radio after 18 years of service. This is according to a video she posted on her Facebook page on Friday.

Crystal Newman who has been working on Sanyu FM has finally called her time on radio off.

“I have decided to make a change and start a new chapter. I have shared half [of] my life on air with you [fans]. From being a young girl at university to getting married to … fleshing out so many other roles at the same time, she said

“It has truly been a privilege and an honour. I have learnt so much from the people I have worked and interacted with. Blessings. And in whatever small way, I pray that I have had a positive impact on your life. I am so excited about what lies ahead…” she said.

The mother of 3 has been heavily compared to big name radio presenters such as Christine Mawadri, formerly of Capital FM, Roger Mugisha (KFM) and Aisha Albahi (KFM)

Sanyu FM  posted on their Facebook page thanking and praising her for what she has done for them over 18 years.

“Crystal has been an extraordinary person who has won “a variety of hats contributing to what Sanyu FM is today”.

“We have seen her grow from a university student who walked through our doors 18 years ago, to becoming one of the most notable voices on radio in Uganda. We have shared in her life every day…” the message said.

However, her next move is not yet confirmed.
