Since joining Sc Villa from Velez in the Spanish fourth tier in February, attacking midfielder Owori has been a revelation, winning man of the match performance against Express and Bul.

SC Villa is retracing the stages they have gone so frequently over the last three decades.
They were heavily involved in title races, which resulted in 16 diadems. The last one was in 2004.
This year, they couldn’t have been picked to compete for the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title.
Their most recent victory, a 1-0 victory over Bul in Lira on Tuesday, moved them within a point of leaders KCCA.

David Owori scored in the 39th minute to lead Villa to a 1-0 victory over Bul, taking them to 34 points after 18 matches.

Despite suffering a two-point deduction at the season start and being thrown in Lira for five matches, Villa has beaten UPDF, Maroons, Onduparaka, and Bul at the Akiibua Stadium, only losing to KCCA.

Attacking midfielder Owori has been a standout performer since returning from Spanish fourth-tier side Velez in February. They still have 10 matches to play but Villa’s dreams of achieving more success are not unfounded.

Fun Fact. SC Villa has conceded the second least number of goals -12- only bettered by Vipers five.

On the other side of the league:

Maroons defeated Arua Hill 2-0 in a football match, with midfielder Abel Etrude scoring the first goal in the sixth minute.

Maroons dominated the game and took control of most of the attacks, with Arua Hill failing to score. Isaac Mpagi scored the second goal for the Maroons in the 73rd minute. Maroons were denied a goal due to offside. Maroons moved up to the sixth position with 25 points in the league.

Sanyuka Prime video reviews showed that indeed Amaku was on side.

“The coaches told me to use my second chance to resurrect my career well and I’m happy to be giving my best,” Etrude, who returned to Maroons in January after a mixed at Express, revealed.
