How I fell in love with my lecturer
When I joined campus two years ago, little did I know that I would ever fall in love with my lecturer, 22 year old Jane narrates her ordeal.

I was too green about relationship issues having spent most of my early child hood education in single schools.
During my first days at campus, I used to listen to stories concerning lecturers moving out with their students from my old friends who had joined campus earlier. I wondered how this could happen, and how one could attend a lecture being taught by that lecturer whom you spent a night with in the same bed.
I kept on asking myself such and many more questions. But no one could provide answers to my queries not until I also fell into the same love basket. It was so strange to me. I imagined how this would sound to my fellow classmate in case they found out that I was moving out with the lecturer, whom all students accorded respect, just as one would to his/her parent.
I thought of cutting lectures, but still this could not work out because my classmates were going to start wondering why I miss lectures of this particular lecturer. I tried as hard as I could so as not to let the rat out of the bag. But as you may all know, it’s very hard to keep a secret in today’s civilized society.
Time came when my fellow classmates started sensing something. But by the time they came to know of our relationship, I was ready for any outcome because our intimacy had matured and wouldn’t mind counting myself among the lucky few students to be associated with the lecturer.
However, Jane’s true life experience is not the only one; many students have fallen victims only that not many of them can reveal.
Most students when asked if they would date their lecturers, many said that would be fine since
they are all human beings with feelings. “I will be proud of dating my lecturer but will keep it secret because my classmates will know how I pass course work”, a student told The Campus Times.
Besides the benefits that come with this kind of affair, one wonders what would happen if the relationship breaks.
What will things be like for you on campus?
A man eats where he works

As the saying goes,” a man eats where he works” several students came up with the idea of forming associations with the aim of conning the guild contestants of their money.
From the faculty of Law, there existed the Law students’ Association for the disabled. Surprisingly; none of the members had any signs of disability.
But as the contestants were looking for possible ways of gaining more support, none of them could realize that such an association had never existed.
Mind you, this association existed for about 30minutes after which it rested in eternal ‘boozing’.
Perhaps, we are waiting for its resurrection come next guild campaigns.
As if this wasn’t enough, the so called elders of social sciences came up with University Social Science Elders’ Association (USSEA). Interestingly, the founder members of this association were freshers who had spent less than a year at campus.
The major aim of this association was to get money for ajono, a local brew. This was realized after one of the funding members was hard complaining. This humble gentleman was not good at boozing but his fellow members had insisted that all the money was to be spent on booze.
“If you don’t take booze, form your own association that can only take sodas” he was advised. Indeed it was too late for this gentleman to form his own association, but when The Campus Times contacted him, he promised to form as many associations as he will next year.
Guild president collapses over sacked ministers

The guild president of Nkumba University, Felix Kayihura collapsed when his finance minister and Prime minster were secured. The two ministers are allegedly accused misappropriation of guild funds.
The Guild Prime minister, Kibira Francis and finance minister, Matovu John have been sacked over bribery and theft of guild funds. The president is said to be the next if he does not change the way he is handling guild matters, a source told the campus time.
“I labored to bring him to power and I expected a lot out of him but for the good of students I diverted from his views after realizing he is not implementing the manifesto that we used.
He later brought in thieves who are his personal friends in the guild to steal students’ money” a student accuses Kayihura. The Campus Times tried to get a comment from the president but all his official lines were off
