Now basketball has planted a profound background starting from schools trying to feed the national team. Recently, the Ugandan National team participated in the FIBA Africa Zone 5 AFCON Qualifiers. Unfortunately Uganda lacked a variety of players to choose from which contributed to the team’s poor performance.

On   5th/02/2013 there was a training session at Makerere University basket ball court to monitor and mentor the would be good upcoming players to feed the National team.

Since Uganda lacks enough training courts, Basket ball games are always played at education institutions. The Uganda national basket ball has two divisions; division one and two.
