JOB DETAILS: 
We are looking for an outstanding Drama Teacher to join our team in August 2019. The successful applicant will be excited to join one of our world class schools and driven to provide education at an exceptional level. GEMS teachers enjoy an outstanding school environment in which to deliver a dynamic and creative curriculum to motivated students. The Creative Arts Department has flourished over the last few years here at GEMS – CIK with high participation numbers, and we are looking to expand and grow. You will be expected to direct Key Stage productions and run extracurricular clubs in Drama. Each year the Arts Department put on a play and a musical in which you will be expected to play a significant role. As well as being a great place to work, Kampala is a vibrant, developing city where the sun shines all year round. Teachers in Kampala enjoy an excellent lifestyle as well as extensive travel and leisure opportunities around the region and further afield. .

JOB SPECIFICATION
• Applicants should be fully qualified teachers with at least 1 year post qualifying experience.
• You must have solid and demonstrable Drama teaching experience at Key Stage 2 and 3.
• Ability to teach IGCSE Drama at Key Stage 4 is desirable.
• The ability to teach other subjects is always welcome.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Excellent communication skills
