Job Title: Senior Grants / Finance Manager

Samaritan’s Purse is an international Christian relief and development organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Job Summary: The Senior Grants / Finance Manager will primarily be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating all financial, budgetary and compliance aspects of the country office in Uganda. He / she will also be responsible for developing robust relationships with international donors, as well as country and head quarter’s leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offer overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Grants and Finance functions ensuring that compliance is adhered to for all donors, achieving maximum effectiveness in budget utilization.
  • Provide senior leadership for the development of the Country Program, as well as direct line supervision for all Finance-related staff within the organization.                        .

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the aforementioned International NGO Job should hold a Master’s degree (M.A.) preferred;
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, two of which must have been in a similar post;
  • Past exposure and experience managing budgets and financial reporting for international, bilateral, and UN donors. USAID and DFID grant management experience preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills in English;
  • Exposure to working and living internationally, preferably in other developing contexts
  • Prior experience with operating FARS, Serenic and other forms of accounting software.
  • All candidates must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
