About US:

The National Environment Management Authority (hereinafter called “NEMA”) was established under the National Environment Act, Cap.153 in May 1995 and continued under the National Environment Act No.5 of 2019 as the principal agency for environment management in Uganda charged with regulating, supervising and coordinating all activities relating to the environment.

Job Summary:  The Senior Administrative Officer will support management of the administration function of the Authority

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Support the Manager Administration to:

  • Development and implementation of division work plans and timely reporting
  • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
  • Manage the small office equipment, office supplies and furniture
  • Supervise appropriate use and payments for utilities
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate administration reports
  • Perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree the relevant field of Business Administration or Public Administration or Office Management
  • Masters in Degree in the relevant field of Business Administration or Public Administration
  • At least three (3) years of post qualification professional working experience in administration in a reputable institution.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
