Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of Uganda left back Shafik Batambuze from Tanzanian side Singida United.
It is said that the defender has penned down a two year contract with Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

“Shafik Batambuze has today penned a two year contract with the reigning champions Gor Mahia FC in readiness for the forthcoming CAF CL and the 2019 Kenya Premier League,” a statement on the club’s official website reads.
Batambuze who als played for Tusker FC returns to Kenta and is regarded as a replacement for Godfrey Walusimbi who joined Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.
Batambuze adds himself on the list of players who have so far played for Gor Mahia. Among these are; Daniel Sserunkuma, Israel Emuge, Khalid Aucho, Wazza and Ivan Anguyo among others.
