Nkumba University Alumni Association to Elect New President

Nkumba University Alumni Association is organizing a re-union for old students of Nkumba University during which a new Alumni Executive Committee will be elected.
Mr. Kabuuza Mukasa, the President Nkumba University Alumni Association says voting will be done during Nkumba Day scheduled for Saturday September 23, 2017.
“One of the main activities of the day will be the election of a new Alumni Executive Committee, whose first order of business will be to consider and pass a new Constitution that will govern us as Alumni in the endeavor to support our Alma Mater”, he says.
Prior to the election, the Alumni together with other guests and friends of Nkumba University will participate in a fundraising session aimed at raising Ushs. 500 million for the construction of a perimeter fence around the Main Campus in Entebbe.
He says the day shall begin with a band-led match from Entebbe Leisure Park in Kitoro, through Kitubulu, Abayita-Ababiri, and then into the Main Campus.

Mr.Kabuusa says membership to Nkumba University Alumni Association is open to those who attended Nkumba Kindergarten, Primary, Junior Secondary and Nkumba College of Commerce and Advanced Studies.
Nkumba University is one of the oldest private chartered universities in Uganda.
Fees structure for courses offered at Team University

Team University is a Private University licensed by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
The University is mandated to award Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelors), Post Graduate Degrees (Masters and PhDs), Post Graduate Diplomas as well as Vocational Courses and training for Professional qualifications.
Information from the office of the academic registrar shows that undergraduate courses cost 1,245,000 Uganda Shillings per semester.
Students studying courses at diploma level pay 611,000 Uganda Shillings pay semester while those at certificate level pay 481,000 Uganda Shillings.
Postgraduate courses go for 2,020,000 Uganda Shillings per semester.
The above fees rates include functional fees but exclude accommodation, feeding and transports costs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- The ideal candidate for the ZOA Country Program Officer Livelihood and Agriculture job placement should hold a university degree in a sector related to livelihoods and agriculture in a humanitarian and/or development setting;
- At least three years of field experience in a development country (preferably in a humanitarian emergency setting) and five years of substantive livelihood and agriculture experiences;
- Previous exposure and experience with livelihoods and agriculture interventions in humanitarian settings (as in contrast to more stable, development settings);
- Prior experience with agricultural interventions encompasses both crop production and livestock, and goes beyond primary production also including processing, marketing and selling of agricultural products;
- Previous experience with the Participatory Agricultural Enterprise Development (PAED) and Enabling Rural Innovations (ERI) approaches will be an added value;
- Excellent spoken and written command of English;

Busoga University Fees Structure for Undergraduate Courses

Busoga University is one of the private universities in Uganda offering a number of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The university charges varying fees for the different courses depending on the level and nature of course the student is undertaking.
According to information from the office of the academic registrar, students studying courses at certificate level pay between 340,000 and 470,000 Uganda shillings per semester.
Diploma courses range from 350,000 shillings to 690,000 shillings per semester. Advanced Diploma in Health Services Management (ADHSM) goes for UShs. 1,840,000 per semester.
Degree courses cost from UShs. 1,150,000 upwards.
The academic registrar says that students should note that the various fees payable to the University excludes functional fees, accommodation, books, research and other expenses.
