Certainly there is a world’s conspiracy against the Republic of South Sudan. I call it the world’s conspiracy because the UNMISS’s claims over the impounded 13 trucks of weapons, destined for Bentiu, that the error was on land transport.

That the weapons ought to have been transported by air to the forces. That does not seem to hold. First of all, who are all these “peacekeepers” that needed a lot of heavy weapons?

Secondly, why didn’t the UNMISS or UN notify the Government of their procurement of weapons? How many troops are there to be armed? how many and what types of weapons have been procured? when will the weapons reach? which mode of transports would be used to transport them to South Sudan?

Why has the UNMISS evaded all these concerns? and now they are telling us it will be investigated. Did the UN in the first place have to sneak in the guns to the country? I believe it is time for GOSS to rethink about these peacekeepers.

The types of weapons impounded were not for use in South Sudan since the UN peacekeepers do not fight war. why given the guns in the first place, to do what with?
