The Campus Times has withdrawn this article after the Uganda Revenue Authority said there are no such jobs available as we had earlier published. We regret the inconveniences this article might have caused

The truth is that these jobs appeared on the website of URA.

Here is the link of the Google cache that shows that the jobs were actually posted on the URA website on September 20th, 2015

Uganda Revenue Authority

The Campus Times as a responsible media house that is mindful about unemployment in Uganda could not fail to share the good news about these job opportunities.

But we are wondering why URA is saying this is a scam yet they know these jobs appeared on their website. How did the jobs appear on the URA website? The website and communication officials need to explain this anomaly.

The statement on the URA website denouncing the 134 jobs reads in part…….”This is to bring to your attention that there is a SCAM URA ADVERT spreading on social media and on the site called “Campus Times” with 134 vacancies…..”

Surprisingly Uganda Revenue Authority even went ahead to edit the web page where the jobs were first published on their website forgetting that the world wide web keeps a cache of all content published online and Digital media specialists like us can find such evidence.http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:oc7CtBICxOQJ:https://careers.ura.go.ug/Default/Opportunities+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk

Please, can someone responsible at Uganda Revenue Authority explain what is happening??
