Job Title: Enumerators and Parish/Ward Supervisor (Over 70,00 Vacancies).

The Government of Uganda through the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) will be undertaking the 2014 National Population and Housing Census enumeration this year.

Deadline: The closing date for receiving applications is Monday June 30, 2014, at 5.00pm

Minimum/ Essential requirements for the Enumerator Position
● Should have at least an “O” level Certificate.
A- level certificate or a Credit in English and Mathematics at “O-level” will be an added advantage;
● Should be a mature adult;
●Must be of good conduct and responsible citizen;
●Must have a legible and neat handwriting;
●Must be a resident of the LC1 Village where the Enumeration Areas they intend to work is located;
●Should be a socially acceptable person;
Must be fluent in the main local language in the village;
● Should be of sound mind; and
●Must be available from 1st August to 14th September, 2014
Minimum/ Essential requirements for the Parish/Ward Supervisor Position
●Should have education level of “A” Level Certificate. However, candidates with good credits in English and Mathematics at O-level may be considered;
●Should be mature and responsible citizens (preferably with management experience and experience in coordinating censuses/research/surveys);
●Should be a mature adult;
●Must be ordinary residents of the Parishes/Wards and Villages in which they wish to work;
●Should have proven organisational skills and ability to mobilise;
●Must have good communication skills;
●Must have good public relations; and
●Must be available from 1st August to 14th September, 2014

MODE OF APPLICATION:
Handwritten Applications (Hard Copies) bearing full residential and contact address (including mobile telephone numbers and email addresses where applicable) as well as photocopies of the required certificates and testimonials should be sent directly to the respective Sub-county Chiefs/Town Clerks.
Applications should indicate the relevant Job Title, Reference Number of the post applied for and the Parish/Ward/Village of Residence on top of the first page of the Application Letter.
