Job Title: Office Assistant (2 Fresher Job Opportunities)

Duty Station: MOH-CDC CoAG Head Office, Uganda

Reports to: Human Resource and Administration Officer

 

About US:

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has received a grant from the Center for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) Cooperative Agreement (CoAg), a strategic mechanism of the United States Government (USG) to implement activities in line with its mandate in support of the Public health response to HIV/AIDS and other health systems. CDC will be supporting a pool of Human Resources that are expected to lead the implementation of the grant. The staff to be recruited under this grant will be contracted by the MOH. The contracts are for one (1) year renewable subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the staff.

 

Job Summary: Facilitating the flow of documents and correspondence, organizing and maintaining a           clean office environment.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and delivering intra-office mail, documents, and messages on prescribed

schedules.

  • Collecting outgoing mail and documents and delivering them where required.
  • Supporting photocopying, delivering documents and other errands.
  • Collecting requisitioned stationery from Stores and deliver to requesting office.
  • Ensuring office information is not leaked by destroying papers in a designated burn area.
  • Ensuring office refreshments served on a regular schedule including delivering and

picking up coffee and refreshments to offices on prescribed schedule.

  • Ensuring office and lounge tables, desks and chairs cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Liaising with Cleaners to ensure that offices are cleaned on time.
  • Ensuring offices are opened early in the morning and closed at close of business in the

evening.

  • Performing other duties as may become necessary for the smooth running of the Project.
  • Ensuring the safety and confidential in handling mail, documents and messages.
  • Ensuring just-in-time delivery of refreshments.
  • Ensuring that offices are clean, opened on time and closed at the end of business every

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • ‘A’ Level Certificate
  • Those with a Diploma in a relevant discipline in relating to office management will have

an added advantage.

  • Two (2) years working experience in a similar position
