Job Summary: The Housekeeper is mainly responsible for ensuring that all the assigned areas are clean, neat and tidy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

Cooking Tasks:

  • Prepare lunch and dinner on time;
  • Buy fresh quality food every day guaranteeing correct market prices;
  • Keep an accounts book on the market expenses;
  • Wash dishes;
  • Clean the kitchen and the kitchen utensils;
  • Ensure the purchase of the food in coordination with the secretary;
  • Inform the logistics team when the gas bottles are empty;

Cleaning Tasks:

  • Clean all rooms on a daily basis with appropriate cleaning materials as well as polishing the furniture and emptying the waste bins.
  • Dispose of garbage on a daily basis;
  • Clean bathrooms and toilets on a daily basis;
  • Arrange beds on a daily basis;
  • Ensure provision of cleaning material in coordination with Logistics
  • Change and wash bed sheets on a weekly basis
  • Wash expatriate clothes whenever necessary

Stock supplies:

  • Keep an inventory of stock supplies and ensure these supplies are well stocked.
  • Replenishing supplies such as soap, hand wash and Toilet paper in the washrooms

  • Identify and link PEAS to partnerships aligned to digitisation of system including venturing into other possible products.  Examples include: payroll and vendor payment capability.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Engineering Design, Procurement & Works Supervision:

  • Review detailed engineering designs, drawings and technical specifications of transmission lines and substations prepared by contractors and their supplies.
  • Ensure conformity of designs, drawings, manufacturing processes and installations to specified engineering standards and best engineering practices.
  • The jobholder will also review contractors’ method statements and procedures for quality assurance.

  • Supervise, monitor and report on the progress and quality of equipment, material and works and recommend corrective actions wherever necessary.
