Campus is most re-known for academics, lifestyle and relationships. Relationships at this level can be described as young and wild. A bright sparkle burning within ‘campusers’ appears once they think they have met someone who they could possibly refer to as the “Right partner.”
The feeling is magical and sparks enthusiasm, satisfaction, body excitement, irritation, bigger dreams and false hope. The excitement brings you close to thinking that everything is possible, you dream about the future like spending a life time together, true love and romancing as it is shown in movies, having children and maybe ageing together.
The experience always feels brand new for every relationship hence new challenges emerge like dealing with confusion, hormones, jealousy and pressure to act in a given way. Every dot of blood warms up, the heart starts pumping a little faster than usual, shyness and being speechless occurs when the love birds sight each other.
Couples act stupidly in love, they would choose to dodge lectures, preferably stay together like married fellows. They walk side to side with each other, hand in hand while whispering all types of sweet nothings promising each other heaven and earth and laughing out loud in a hysterical behavior.
All they say is sweet nothings to each other although at times it is real and makes sense. Some relationships have been planted on greener pastures and are well-watered day in and out basing on true love, the catchy acts of love and honesty.
Some are focused on advancing their relationship to husband and wife while others are having fun with any one they accouter as long as external looks and money are on the check list.
The girls choose ‘blessers’ to upgrade their social lives. The ‘blessers’ are usually rich old married men commonly referred to as sugar daddies. With the latest trend, the boys as well are looking out for older women “sugar babes’ who could provide a glamorous life.
Campus love is full of energy and life, couples will take their love to clubs, dance their legs off and drink silly.
Although campus love could be harmless, being involved with the wrong people may expose students to sexual assaults, infidelity, adultery, drug abuse, crime and weekend marriages.
In some cases students are careless about the kind of person they connect with which prompts them to act on grounds of unhealthy peer pressure like taking drugs and making love.
