The Faculty of Law’s Clinical Legal Education Program continues to build on its tradition of service and Christian witness to God’s heart for justice.

This year’s “clinical” law students of Uganda Christian University (UCU) participated in a large number of service projects which included:

  • Teaching school children about legal issues, assisting Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity in the representation of indigent juvenile defendants.
  • Training community leaders on justice matters through UCU Law’s “Justice River” initiative (justice-river.blogspot.com).
  • Conducting will writing clinics with International Justice Mission
  • Mediating land disputes in Northern and Eastern Uganda with Land Equity Movement Uganda.

The clinical program enables law students to impact their community in a positive way while learning practical skills that will assist them in their future professional life.
