Title:    Store Keeper and Assets Assistant

About AAH: In 1996, Action Africa Help International (AAIN) became Aktion Africa Hilfe e. V (AAH) and was registered in Munich, Germany from where our founders in 2003 moved the organisation’s headquarters to Kenya. AAH-I now works with refugees, host communities and other marginalized and vulnerable groups in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan, where it operates across a range of sectors that seek to bridge relief to development.
Job Summary:  The incumbent will conduct physical count and update Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) records and provide regular and clear reports on the movement of FF &E items and Non Food Items (NFIs).  The job holder will be in charge of receiving goods, recording and dispatching store items.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Conduct physical count and update Furniture, Fixture and Equipment records after every four months
  • Code organizational assets and produce reconciled data to support audit processes
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database i.e. Asset relocation forms and equipment authorization forms
  • Update and maintain effective records and handling system of all items in the stores
  • Raise waybills and manifests for items which are ready for dispatch
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Workshop Manager of items at the stores
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The candidate should hold a Diploma in related field
  • Two years’ experience in similar position.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Database
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Self-motivation and analytical skills
