Murungi Blessed is the new Guild President of UCU

Students at Uganda Christian University (UCU) last week voted Murungi Blessed as their new Guild President.

Blessed becomes the first female Guild President in the history of UCU which was the first private university to be charted in Uganda.

Murungi Blessed beat Namara Keith Kyaruzi, a third year student studying a degree in Law in a re-election.

The re-election followed the resignation of Andrew Mugisa last month. Mugisha who had spent less than 4 months in the Guild office stepped down after being accused of  forging his baptism and confirmation documents.
