Job Title:Â Senior Accountant
Frank Management Consult seeks to recruit for its valuable client, a regional micro finance with offices in Kampala urgently seeking to recruit for the above vacancy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Assist in Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Prepare supporting schedules according for the financial statements
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions;
- Resolving discrepancies
- Compile and prepare monthly account reconciliations / General Ledger reconciliation
- Assist with analyzing company expenses on a monthly/ weekly basis and report on variances and correcting discrepancies
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Responsible for fixed assets management
- Assist with preparing tax returns and annual reporting requirements
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Supervising Junior Staff
- Handle other projects as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Â
- The applicant should hold a good Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA /ACCA Finalist
- Five or more years’ accounting/finance experience;
- Past exposure and experience in the Financial industry preferred
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Possess the ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
