Makerere University continuing students are expected to report to campus for final semester examinations despite the institution still being closed over coronavirus, the university management has said
On 16th November 2020, the deputy vice chancellor for Academic Affairs,Assoc.Prof.Umar Kakumba, said they have been cleared by National Council for Higher Education (HCHE) to administer exams physically to continuing students,
Finalists are currently studying at the university and even resumed end of semester exams on Monday.
Prof Kakumba said this will be done after the finalists finished their exams and left campus.
The national council for higher Education cleared us to set and administer examinations, in a controlled manner at the university, students will spend about six weeks doing examination. We will ensure that there is no congestion and the SOPs are adhered to he explained.
The finalists will have completed their own examinations to give them more, he added
The exams for continuing student are expected to start at the end of November, when those of finalists are completed
