Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe Crowned African Educationalist of the Year 2021

The African Leadership Magazine has named Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe as the African Educationalist of the Year 2021.

Prof Barnabas unveiled the news on his social platforms to celebrate this milestone, explaining that it gave him more energy to serve.

 “I am humbled by the recognition of my efforts by the African Leadership Magazine. This gives me more energy to serve my continent better.” Nawangwe tweeted on Monday night.

Besides leading the oldest and biggest public university in Uganda, Nawangwe has also shown excellent leadership skills at international conferences. Nangwe has also led negotiations between Makerere and other international universities that later signed MoUs with the Ivory Tower.

The African Leadership Magazine publishes stories and analysis of people and events in and of Africa, written by Africans, while celebrating African successes.

The magazine is published by African Leadership (UK) Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. The magazine focuses on bringing the best of Africa to a global audience, telling the African story from an African perspective; while evolving solutions to peculiar challenges being faced by the continent today.
